Simone Melhuish, LCSW (They/Them) graduated from Western Carolina University in 2010 and Portland State University. There they received a Masters of Social Work in 2012. Simone started the first annual Pride Event at Western Carolina University and won the Humanitarian Award for +LGBTQQIP2SAA activism on campus as well. As a member of the Trans Community, they especially enjoy working with people who are also a part of the Queer community.

Simone is a Certified Trauma Informed Professional who most often utilizes regulation-focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment and Internal Family Systems theory.

Simone is experienced working with chronic pain, Sensory Processing Disorder, grief and loss, military, adoption, blended families, and neurodivergence (ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, PTSD). Simone has specialized experience in sensory, play, and art-based therapies.

In their free time, Simone enjoys spending quality time in nature with their kiddos, crafting, kayaking and gardening. They also like to spend time binging Schitt’s Creek, Gilmore Girls, or The 100.
